Teaming Up with Earth Homes to Bring Sanitizer to Unsheltered People
Olympia, Washington
BrioEarth teams up with Aaron Sauerhoff of Earth Homes, a company dedicated to safe and sustainable home design and construction, and his group of local volunteers working to build micro-shelters for unsheltered people. The City of Olympia contracted with Earth Homes to oversee the build of 60 8'x8' transitional shelters, including the design, community coordination, and management of the Mitigation Employment Program. To support their work to provide safe, warm dwellings in the city’s downtown mitigation site, BrioEarth was thrilled to donate Briotech’s EPA-Approved Multi-Surface Sanitizer as a housewarming gift for each new resident, along with a commitment to provide an on-going replenishment supply for the project.
"The Immediate Affect: 'I can finally sleep.'... The shelters have rigid foam insulation and are leveled and raised above ground - the privacy and comfort have increased to give occupants the ability to tend to immediate physical and emotional needs. Unity: Our planet can support a lot of people! When we organize and prioritize safety and health for all, everyone thrives."
