Briotech coordinates a large product donation, through Nicki Avila of Soles4Souls, shipped to the organization’s headquarters in Old Hickory, Tennessee in support of the important work they do around the world.
Soles4Souls believes “in the power of people to unleash good in the world”, and so does Briotech. They turn unwanted shoes and clothing into opportunity, by keeping them from going to waste and putting them to good use – providing relief, creating jobs and empowering people to break the cycle of poverty.
Their programs aim at making a measurable impact on people and the planet. They focus on providing relief through collection of “new shoes and clothing to distribute to people in need across the U.S. and around the world”, on fighting poverty by helping “people launch and sustain their own small business selling donated shoes and clothing”, on the planet by “protecting the environment by putting used goods to good use, instead of wasting away in a landfill”, and on empowering women by “ensuring they have the opportunity and recognition they deserve”.
